October has been pretty busy – so busy that I haven’t had time to update the What’s Happening!
- We updated the sign with Egyptian Hieroglyphics (How Beautiful Are Thy Buttocks)
- We finished a prototype door for a house renovation that has a 3D carving of water droplets on it. We made a cool handle for it too. This was on the CNC.
- We have redesigned the way the bell controllers are packaged for the bell project. We’re stacking them 5-high now, and we’re updating the software so each can control two bells. This will cut down on the number of wires and clutter in each bell tree.
- Rich went on vacation for a couple of weeks (Las Vegas (U2) and Los Angeles, and Victoria).
- Rich visited Apex Electronics in LA, and it was quite amazing!
- We cleaned up the shop
- We made a bunch of test projects with the Fiber laser – it’s an interesting tool and it is really neat to see what it can do.
- We updated the sign with CECI N’EST PAS UN SIGN which is a reference to a Magritte painting about a pipe.
- We started work on the real water drops door, which is made out of solid Walnut – a pretty huge 3D CNC job.
- We built a case for the fiber laser that includes a door with a window in it that doesn’t let the laser light through. Seems like such an obvious thing to build considering the way fiber lasers are built at this time.
